A Patti Labelle Sunday

Do you know who Patricia Louise Holt-Edwards is... If you are a true Patti Labelle fan you do.
Ms. LaBelle began her career in the early 1960s as lead singer and front woman of the vocal group, Patti LaBelle and the Bluebelles. Following the group's name change to Labelle in the early 1970s, she released the iconic disco song "Lady Marmalade" and the group later became the first  African American vocal group to land the cover of Rolling Stone magazine.

As we all know people grow and somethings are meant to be and since the break up of the Iconic Bluebelles group Ms. Labelle has moved on to build a solo career that makes us all bow to her greatness...from Grammy Awards, to #1 Hit Songs,#1 Hit Albums, Television, Movies, Legendary duets, Her own Sitcom, Books and even her own Pie! But there is nothing like when we see this Queen on the stage because her voice demands your attention and her performance requires your respect!

So this Sunday Poppa L's & The Old School Flava Crew wants to pay special homage to the Queen, God Mother and Goddess of R&B Ms. Patti Labelle...So kick of your shoes like she does on that stage and let the music give you a new attitude like only Ms. Labelle can do!
